Rally for Rivers campaign announced by Sadhguru (Founder, Isha Foundation) a few months ago to create awareness about the urgent need to protect the dying rivers in India. The rally started on September 3 from Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore which will culminate on October 2, after covering 16 states and 23 events in major cities, traversing a stretch of 7000 km across India.

According to Sadhguru, "Rally for rivers is not a protest or agitation. It is what we have to think about how our ancestors have left rivers for us. At least that much we should restore before we leave, for our future generations. Everyone who consumes water must Rally for Rivers."

Sadhguru will himself drive and lead from Kanyakumari to the Himalayas to create awareness.

Nowadays the rally is turning into a revolution as it is getting huge support from political leaders, government officials, Bollywood stars and local people.
