Here is the list of the top 10 states of India according to their nominal GDP.

  1. Maharashtra 
    The GDP of Maharashtra is around $430 billion.
    Services contribute to 54.5% of the economic activity in the state, followed by Industry at  33.6% and agriculture at 11.9%.
    Mumbai is major contributor to the economy of Maharashtra. 
  2. Tamil Nadu 
    The GDP of Tamil Nadu is around $256 billion.
    Services contribute to 45% of the economic activity in the state, followed by manufacturing at 34% and agriculture at 21%.
  3. Gujarat 
    The GDP of Gujarat is around $230 billion
    Services contribute to 36% of the economic activity in the state, followed by Industry at 45% and agriculture at 19%.
  4. Uttar Pradesh
